Arriving completely wet at home, taking hot shower and drinking grog?

…Shoes full of water, clothes full of water, your hair is dripping water, the ground violet of lilac flowerets and you are so happy!

It was the year before last, we went to the cinema and when we were returning home the storm was going to start. We walked very-very slowly, waiting for the rain, we waited for it standing by the front door, but it hung in the wind.

At last we entered the house and went upstairs. The rain started when we were on the second floor of five.

I feel that I’m young, that I’m inside of this happy image of students which is given to me by books and films. One thing I’m sorry – that very often I’m alone…

I miss you, you know it

есть в вильнюсской сирени какая-то магия. и пахнет она в вильнюсе ярче, чем в минске, и оттенков всякоразных больше… я как раз сегодня об этом думала, а вот Гапова прилетела из америки – и тоже написала о сирени. говорит,

На “том континенте” нет мифологии сирени, по крайней мере такой, как здесь, это просто цветущие кусты, вид среди прочих.

я пока жила в минске, не знала, что каштаны пахнут… оказывается, еще как пахнут, у них такой насыщенный медовый аромат…

а вообще, в вильнюсе есть одна чудесная вещь: велодорожки

каждодневные поездки в универ превращаются в приятнейшую получасовую велопрогулку по парку, по хорошему асфальту без бордюров, деревья зеленеют, птички поют… лепота!

Vilnius lilac has something very special… Here it smells more strikingly, and there are more colours… I thought about it today and after that read, Elena Gapova is writing (she lives in USA, and went here):

On “that continent” the mythology of lilac doesn’t exist, at least like on this one. It’s simply blooming bush, one of many others

While I was living in Minsk, I didn’t know that chestnut trees also smell… and they smell, very honey rich fragrance…

and in general, Vilnius has one brilliant thing: bicycle lanes
every day trip to the university changes into the nicest half an hour airing through the park, on good asphalt, without kerbs, trees are green, birds are singing… it’s a bliss!

Промышленный дизайнер Джейсон Баттерсби (Jason Battersby) из Канады не любит скучные велосипеды и не только разработал, но и сделал два велосипеда на свой вкус. Свои велосипеды он ласково окрестил Tequila Sunrise (оранжевый) и Eye Candy (зеленый).

итак, моя велосипедка превратилась в лягушку-путешественницу, преодолела 200 км и ныне обитает в Вильнюсе. первое впечатление от вильнюса на своих колесах – пешеходы не такие бешеные, как в минске.
